Where timeless and classic pieces are concerned, I’m pretty sure Ralph Lauren has that in spades. The price tag can be intimidating, but staple pieces will be well worth an investment. This pleated pencil skirt is my long time favorite. And, okay, stay with me here: in the best possible way it’s almost like a mullet skirt. Not that I’ve ever seen a good mullet (actually, I don’t believe they exist), but this is all business in the front and party in the back. The cut is figure flattering with an accented ruffle along the back hemline. I easily turn it into work wear with a silk blouse and transition into date night with this playful letterman-style sweater. We recently discovered a little taco dive spot near us that’s delicious. So, while (definitely) way overdressed, I wore this look recently for a quick sampling of their zesty menu.
