fireworks-popcorn-1Every year I look forward to crafting a new Fourth of July recipe. It always turns into a playful way of embracing the holiday spirit. We’ll be heading to Illinois for the first time and soaking up some time with E’s family. So this simple snack of fireworks popcorn will be easily replicated when everyone’s together. And the sweet serving containers were a leftover party decoration that just fit the patriotic bill. Find full recipe details below.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag microwaveable popcorn
  • 1 c white chocolate melting chips
  • 1/4 c red, white, blue sprinkles

Directions

  1. microwave popcorn according to package directions
  2. cover baking sheet with wax paper and spread popcorn in single layer
  3. melt white chocolate baking chips as directed
  4. drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn and quickly follow with sprinkles
  5. allow to cool before serving
