If you’ve followed my blog for a while now you may sense a pattern in my decision to buy things. I’ve shared how everything from my boyfriend jeans to leopard sandals were long-awaited purchases that took a lot of thought. So I realized I may have given you the impression that I’m very calculated and patient. Well let me clear that up: I’m exceedingly impulsive (and impatient) when it comes to this stuff. It does not come naturally for me to hold off on clothes shopping. I’m more in the camp of ‘buy now; think later.’ But that doesn’t bode well for money, marriage, or the mass wardrobe I’d accumulate. For those reasons, I’ve learned to temper those impulses. And this military jacket is yet another example. I’ve eyed it for months, knowing it’s the perfect fall transition piece. But I waited to find just the right fit, price, and versatility. Paired with jogger pants and sneakers it’s an instant casual look that still shows a bit of effort.
p.s. following New York Fashion Week, I’ll be attending the Axis Trade Show with alexis mera. If you’re there, be sure to find her booth and say hello!
