This look is out of my element. A Kate Spade bow dress is something I was majorly surprised to pull off the rack and love. I rarely tend toward those oversized details as I don’t feel they quite fit my personality. But this cherry red statement piece was a different story. I adore the understated front, simple fit-and-flare silhouette, and low-cut back. It pulls together a Hepburn-esque timelessness that manages to be modern all the same. And when in the Rome of ‘I don’t typically wear this,’ I decided to pair the dress with a pearl strand necklace. With Valentine’s Day around the corner and the color red shouting from every store shelf, it felt right to jump out of my wardrobe comfort zone and find a new style that brightens the season.
