Many times I am able to walk through a store, collect an armful of items, and walk out empty-handed. Throughout the process of perusing I either talk myself out of the purchases or merely inspire myself with ideas of what already resides in my closet. In other instances, some pieces tug at my little wardrobe heartstrings and won’t let go. Givenchy’s calf fur ankle boots have hovered in my mental shopping cart for just that reason. New England weather and my wallet, however, could not accommodate their price tag.
