Loft top (newer here), Paige jeans, Seven Dial shoes (like these), Liebeskind bag, BaubleBar earrings
Remember last week when I took a strong stance against jumping the gun on fall? Well, here I am, already giving up on my own resolution. Because as soon as we had one sixty degree day, my mind started working on all the transitional basics for a wardrobe that can ease into cooler weather. And I immediately threw together this casual combination that balances lighter fabrics with full-length denim and chunkier shoes. Bell sleeves in breezy cotton are a simple way to embrace the changing climate without adding bulk to a look. Similarly, before boots become the new normal, I like to throw on some sturdier shoes in the interim that still nod toward summer but aren’t as dainty as flip-flops or slides. It’s more about choosing textures and garment lengths than it is about increasing the number of layers I have to wear. So, for now, here’s to dressing the in-between. Did somebody say #WinterIsComing?
