If I’m not on a mission when I go clothes shopping, I’ll leave empty-handed. Meaning, if I’m only going in to ‘browse’ I’ll talk myself out of any purchase. But when I walk in for a specific purpose, I usually have good luck. That’s why I adore shopping for occasions. It’s not that I know precisely what thing I’m going to buy, but I do know the general style/vibe. Whatever event I’m attending (or, in this case, planning) it’s going to have a certain atmosphere. Most recently, that was my mom’s surprise birthday party (more on that in tomorrow’s post). And I knew the ambiance would be energetic, charming, and entertaining. So a sweet pattern mixed with this ruffled neckline fit perfectly to that atmosphere.
