It was fairly last minute that I committed to NYFW. I’d had it on my radar for months yet suddenly the dates were creeping up and lots of pieces still needed to fit together. But I was able to snag a room at Dream Downtown (by the way, most psychedelic hotel room ever + their rooftop pool was divine). After that, the lovely team of AYR got me street style ready with this rose quartz silk blouse and jet black skinny jeans. The pieces were ideal for blending classic with a modern twist–so it felt like a good representation of my own style amidst a sea of fashionistas. I added a couple of nods toward fall with rich emerald tones in my neck scarf and leather shoulder bag.
My first day started with a viewing of the new Louis Verdad collection. The pieces were elegant yet approachable, focusing on denim accents and stark angles. From there I popped down to the TRESemmé studio for a quick hairstyling in preparation of the long night ahead. After a quick change back at the hotel, my evening started with the rewardStyle party and ended at the Bloglovin Awards (full outfit post from that coming Wednesday).
As a major bonus to the trip I worked with photographer Lisa Richov to capture these stellar images on the streets of Chelsea. Having been just blocks from where this weekend’s explosion took place, my heart goes out to those affected. xx
