This pleated metallic maxi skirt has been hanging in my closet since December. E gave it to me for Christmas and I put it on a pedestal ever since. The gorgeous shimmer and elegant length kind of dazzled me to the point where I never committed to wearing it. I didn’t want to seem over the top and couldn’t find the perfect pairing. But I woke up last weekend all energized to finally try it out. I kept things casual so the skirt alone would shine. Adding a scoop back tank and lace up sandals was the perfect balance of dramatic and laidback. And, to be honest, it’s too bad I let a little glamour-intimidation hold me back all these months. I loved the swingy fabric and abstract patterning perfect for our warm-but-not-blazing-hot spring weather.
