Okay, I’m going to put these platform sneakers in the category of trends I never thought I’d revisit. Because, let me tell you, at eleven years old I was ‘all that’ with two-inch foam heels and a velour lace-up version. I’d sit in my inflatable chair (seriously, how were those ever a thing because they’re not even comfortable) and listen to hours of N*SYNC. That’s about as nostalgic as fashion can get for me. So when I saw the platform shoe sneak it’s way back into fashion I was not about to bite. But low and behold, I caved to the unending street style photos where ladies were wearing them beautifully. This pair, on sale, was the best option to get that ‘look for less.’ And I’m not one bit disappointed. The added height gives some classiness to a casual look; plus, they’re (evidently) perfect for practicing my non-existent ballerina pointe.
