Some days are lived completely on-the-go. I wake up knowing my schedule is full and more will come my way. Days like these I need a simple outfit to help me meet the day head-on. I start with a solid basic (the Banana Republic tee) and pair it with a structured bottom (Mossimo jeans). This gives a great starting point to add some fun yet comfortable pieces. The Chenault jacket is a perfect blazer/overshirt compromise. The floral pattern is feminine and the open-front, relaxed. My Michael Kors sandals could take on the world. They are strapped-on tight and comfortable enough to last any (long) day. Finally, my sister-in-law brought back from her travels in Ecuador this beautiful red necklace. It was created by young women who have been rescued from human trafficking. Every time I put it on I am reminded of their cause and the small part a jewelry purchase can play in ending that tragedy.
