Today is a personal milestone that I’m so happy to (finally) share. It’s been in the works for a few months but this is my official start date: I’ve gone to part-time with my current job to take a step forward in public relations. I’ll be working with a boutique firm in Boston as a consultant to their clients. It also means (super psyched about this angle) that half the week is spent working from home. On so many levels this is a major blessing. I love the opportunity of exposure to new people and markets but can’t believe that I get to devote more of my days to one brass fox. I’ve gotten to the point where I have more ideas than time to complete them. So getting the gift of time is pretty unreal. I can’t wait to grow and expand this space in the coming months. I also look forward to hearing more of what you want to see. Please feel free to share!
Speaking of new opportunities, this past weekend we spent an afternoon at Neiman Marcus Last Call (Legacy Place) to prep for Saturday’s upcoming event. I’ll be hosting their “Summer Soiree” from 1-3pm. And I now know the true meaning of “shop ’til you drop.” We picked out ten looks for their store mannequins, both men + women. And, right after that, E and I dropped into a booth at the nearest restaurant for lunch. The rest of the day was a mini staycation with more shopping (it didn’t take long for me to recover), and a walk along the beach. I felt so playful and energized in this pleated skirt with a pineapple print. The tied waist top and stacked jewelry were a modern, casual update on the classic stripes.
