There’s always something affirming about having guests stay in our home. This past weekend while E’s parents were here it made us feel completely ‘adult’–so settled. Realizing we’ve developed a routine, crafted a space that’s entirely ours, is surreal yet wonderful. And welcoming others into that applies a certain degree of confidence. So while we’re sad to be wrapping up their visit it’s bittersweet in the fact that this (currently frigid) corner of the earth is still ours. On that note, today’s outfit is the product of overwhelming cold. Instead of relying on tights or leggings, I’ve gone full blown into pairing denim with this floral patterned flared dress. The thicker fabrics and mid-length sleeves give modern chic magic to necessary layers.
