brunch birthday

winter brunch table setup

A couple of weekends ago we welcomed the new year (and my next year of life) with a brunch that gathered family and friends. After all the holiday parties and late night celebrations, I wanted everyone to enjoy a relaxed vibe with free-flowing mimosas. It’s one of the nearest and dearest things to my heart to be a hostess in my own home. I adore the entire process of dreaming up an atmosphere, crafting a fitting menu, and setting that ‘finishing touch’ tablescape. The highlights of the meal were savory frittata cups and a belgian waffle cake (both recipes coming in the next few weeks). Other than drinking bubbly, eating our body weight in charcuterie, and catching up from the past few weeks, there was no party agenda. And that alone felt perfect. So here’s a glimpse into our first event for 2016!

I partnered with Susty Party for the minimalist serveware including cutlery, bowls, plates, napkins. Use code “onebrassfox” for $10 off your next order!
