If ever there was a tourist’s ideal day in San Francisco, we had it. This perfectly mild, fog-free adventure took us from the redwood trees of Muir Woods to Overlook Park at Golden Gate Bridge and on to those famous Painted Ladies. And it didn’t take long to realize that this city is fitness-centric, so my athletic gear fell right in stride and never seemed out of place. I made sure to stock up on a few spring pieces knowing the hills and valleys of our travel destination.
But this day also held one of our favorite spots from the entire trip: Sausalito. The little town across the bridge from San Francisco was picturesque. Small shops, ice cream parlors, and sweet boutiques dotted either side of the streets. We popped into Sushi Ran for a quick lunch before walking the water and collecting a few souvenir gifts.
Even though today is our first step back into ‘reality mode,’ I’ll be reliving our adventures in a couple future posts (including a giveaway–stay tuned).
