With the start of warmer weather and the bare inkling of summer, I’m fawning over stripes. The nautical vibe appeals to me as soon as I can ditch the tights and throw on short sleeves. But here’s my one and only drawback: I’m not the slightest bit preppy. It’s not that I dislike the style on other people, but I can’t stand it for myself. And striped looks easily veer toward preppy. So I balanced this casual tee and light wash denim skirt with strappy sandals and a structured clutch. It gives a modern edginess that goes back to my habit of defying fashion standards.
