Casual Friday came a little early this week. While it doesn’t happen often, I felt completely averse to wearing a skirt or dress. I just wanted the comfort of my favorite denim. Tucking in a simple cotton tee makes even this laid-back outfit seem more refined.
Whenever I reach for horizontal stripes, I keep in mind the need to accent the pattern. It can be a bit overwhelming or unflattering at times, so I threw on a statement necklace to elongate the look and minimize the “widening” effect of straight-across lines.
