After this weekend, I plan on seizing any possible opportunity to attend cross-cultural (read: Brazilian) weddings. Saturday afternoon we road tripped to southern Massachusetts and watched my dear high school friends get married. Following the sweet ceremony, we danced the night away at a gorgeous golf course. And let me tell you, if I could go back in time to hone my (seriously minimal) dancing skills, I would take lessons from a Brazilian. Half the night, E and I stared in envy as they swooshed across the floor, adapting to any rhythm with ease. I’m pretty sure their hips can move in ways mine never will. But a girl can dream. And dance skills or not, I eyed this Opening Ceremony dress months ago, waiting for a chance to wear it. I love the bodycon look that opens into a romantic flutter hem. It was the best combination of timeless for the wedding while still seeming fun enough to party. So here’s to a Monday morning of flipping on that Portuguese Pandora station and attempting to master those smooth moves.
