The anticipation that fills today is one of my favorite feelings the whole year long. Every Christmas Eve we sing carols, start a fire, and (adding a more recent tradition) play Cards Against Humanity with the siblings. I squeeze every ounce of joy from the day and still get giddy just before my head hits the pillow. Christmas Day is then a beautiful blur of people, presents, and pets.
