Sometimes I pull together an outfit that doesn’t really feel like me. But by the end of the day I’d almost rather sleep in it than change into pajamas. And this is one such look. Last weekend E and I stayed a night in the city. We both had different get-togethers happening and preferred a hotel stay to driving back home. I’d thrown a few outfits in the overnight bag and not quite thought them through. I felt a little more country than I’m used to with this jean jacket combo. Yet paired with my favorite maxi dress for fall, all the pieces pulled together. A vibrant red shoe gave the modern edge I needed to feel completely comfortable.
This holiday weekend has an extra note of sweetness for us. We will be celebrating our second wedding anniversary on Monday! I’ll probably be saying this time and again but I can’t believe how the months have flown. It went faster than year one, for sure. For that reason, we’ll be taking Monday off and returning with a brand new post on Tuesday. Have a safe and lovely long weekend.
