There is something communal about pizza–even dessert pizza. Unlike a whole piece of tall, towering cake, the “slice” has the ability to be a morsel or total indulgence.
The look is playful while the taste can be sophisticated.
For my sister’s recent birthday, I crafted this dessert pizza in celebration. I found the initial recipe but wanted to tweak a lot of the components. It also gave me the opportunity to roast hazelnuts for the first time (and definitely not the last–who wouldn’t want a house that smells like Nutella).
