This has been an out-of-the-ordinary week. We’ve been busy with lots of holiday activities, perpetually eating out, and giving into spontaneous plans. Last night we jumped at the opportunity to enjoy an evening at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It’s a Christmas outing I’ve dreamed of for years and finally experienced. Every number was precisely as magical as I’d hoped. And it was the perfect start to a pre-holiday weekend. So now we’ve got packing and wrapping to occupy us over the next few days. Even though it’s light enough to go out sans jacket, we’re still letting the winter feelings sink in. E is rotating scarves and sweaters but sticking to these simple, basic layering pieces. They create an easy balance of being polished yet relaxed.
