I usually post company spotlights on a Friday; but this week I just couldn’t wait. Akola Project is my latest discovery and a dynamite company with huge impact. The Ugandan-based organization employs dozens of women to design and craft stunning jewelry. But ultimately, beyond employment, Akola Project created a sustainable model that continues to invest in various communities. Their lookbook is chock full of unique, organically beautiful pieces that fit any wardrobe. This simple gold chain necklace is a delicate accent to my “monochrome Monday” look.
