When the week’s average temperatures are setting record highs, a lace up shirtdress is my saving grace. It’s to the point where adding any extra layers just feels brutal the moment you step outside. But this simple silhouette keeps things cool in breathable fabric and offers some refinement with long sleeves. So our recent walk along the beach felt a lot less sweltering thanks to my purchase from Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. The darker toned stripes will make a perfect tunic option come cooler weather in fall and winter. I’m seeing ankle booties and distressed denim to finish off the look.
Also, we can’t believe it’s almost August. Our travel bug is biting once again and we’re scouting out destinations for a fall weekend getaway. Any and all suggestions are welcome!
