I wish I’d taken a picture of my packed suitcase for Toronto. It was a total forecast-denial scenario. I really did read the weather report (stuck consistently at thirty degrees) but just decided to test fate. I lost. All those cute dresses, rompers, and paper thin tops remained untouched throughout the weekend. But what resulted was my having to be quite resourceful with basic travel layers. A pair of statement jeans paired with boots and an oversized sweater made for the perfect, versatile uniform. Varying accessories and vintage style tees changed up the look to still be functional yet never boring.
