I don’t know about you, but every time before we go on a trip it feels like we’re bombarded by things. Little nuisances make it hard to peel ourselves away from daily life. But the second we finally get on the road and gain perspective it turns out to be completely refreshing. E and I hopped in the car early on Saturday morning, plugged in a few podcasts, and set the dash to cruise control. Just a couple of hours down to Connecticut seemed like the world of a difference we needed. And for the quick visit to a good friend, I finally pulled out my neutral coat that’s the best layer for fall. It kept things cozy for our Gillette castle exploration and ridiculously delicious Otto pizza. So the start of this week is a whole lot sweeter with that in my recent memory.
