We have been on a major flavored water kick lately. Unfortunately, I have a serious love of carbonation. My favorite are the dollar waters from CVS with crazy flavors and lots of bubbles. But I’ve been feeling conflicted about all those extra chemicals. It must be the fresh summer produce that’s pointing me in a healthier direction. So I’m exploring other ways to make our tap water a bit more appealing. These two refreshing flavored water recipes are delicious. They’re also super simple to make over and over again. We’re keeping the pitchers full these days with a couple of citrusy options. See full details below.
Apples + Cinnamon Sticks

Vanilla Pods + Orange Slices
Ingredients:
2 liters of filtered water
1 orange, sliced
½ teaspoon vanilla extract, or 2 scraped vanilla bean podsDirections:Simply combine the orange slices, vanilla and water in a large pitcher, and mix well. If you are using a vanilla pod cut the pod in half, lengthwise with a paring knife. Scrape out all of the oily seeds from the inside to use. Allow to infuse in the fridge for at least an hour, then keep chilled in the fridge for a refreshing beverage.
