Well, tropical storm Arthur has swept the weather stations and is putting a slight damper on the Fourth of July excitement. We are headed off to Long Island to celebrate and I refuse to be glum about the forecast. This patterned maxi puts a bright spot in my wardrobe and mood. The jersey fabric is lightweight and comfortable. Although the front is structured a bit lower than I tend to feel comfortable wearing, the cut is such that it sits against my skin and avoids a plunging look. Paired with a white blazer, the brightness of the colors is balanced and accented. A loud pattern like this means I tone down the jewelry and keep everything simple, subtle.
