I don’t know whether it was a reaction to the new year or a recent milestone birthday that finally gave me the courage for an overdue haircut. I’ve talked about it for months and pinned endless inspiration pictures, but couldn’t commit. The longer my hair gets, the more I seem attached to it–like an extension of my personality or something. But on new year’s I took the plunge (previewed here on Instagram) and opted for a layered cut with lighter highlights and an angled front. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. It feels like a more mature, fresh, and “style-able” look. The change helped me embrace the new year and shape my outlook for what 2015 holds .
