the crimson tip

I am a firm believer in manicured nails–color or no color, pampered hands make a lasting first impression. The oxblood hue of this fall/winter season is my absolute must. It is muted enough for daytime business, yet daring enough for a nighttime switch at a moment’s notice.

[Essie, “carry on”]
When the call of the nail salon is too much to ignore, I defer to Shellac for the endurance of the virtually un-chippable gel. However, when my favorite team is in the World Series (GO SOX) and a bottle of wine by candlelight is on the evening agenda, an at-home manicure does the trick.
Here is a tip I must confess has taken me far too long to learn: Keep your chosen nail color in your purse for those inconvenient snags and on-the-go fixes.
