My hair has always been a low maintenance part of my routine. I rarely blow-dry it, curl it even less frequently than that, and pretty much never straighten it. I’m fortunate enough that my hair doesn’t require a lot of upkeep. But, to be honest, that often leads me to be lazy. So when I discover a simple, done-in-minutes hairstyle, I’m all for them. This messy half braid is my latest find. I love the way it blends a polished look without seeming overdone or too fancy. That compromise lets it be a perfect transition hairstyle from day to night. See below for my full tutorial.
step one: set aside two chunks of hair on either side of your face (about 3 inches wide)
step two: collect the rest of your hair in a low ponytail using a clear elastic
step three: braid ponytail 3-4 times and secure with another clear elastic
step four: gently pull at the various braided pieces to create a messy + oversized effect
step five: use the set aside hair segments to wrap + cover top clear elastic; secure with bobby pins
