Summer wind-down brings a sweet sadness. The few shorts months of warmth are dwindling, but the best New England season is ahead. I take this “in-between” time to craft outfits with lighter fabrics that won’t have a place in my closet much longer. Linen pieces are versatile and airy for a weightless look. The fabric is juxtaposed by a heavier and more dramatic skirt for a great end-of-season combination. Getting in a few extra wears out of my favorite summer pieces makes the packing away process bearable.
