I mentioned yesterday that we had an uber lazy weekend. But there was one thing I exerted energy on: these sweet potato steak fries. I’ve made a variety of similar recipes over the years but I think I’ve found my favorite. They’re hearty, perfectly cooked, and have just enough seasoning to feel like restaurant quality. To be honest, spread amongst four people these lasted less than an hour.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 large sweet potatoes
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 1 tbsp salt
- 3 tsp pepper
- 3 tsp powdered garlic
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 450 F
- Wash and dry potatoes
- Cut off the potato ends and slice into think, 1/4 inch wedges
- Place in ziploc bag with olive oil and spices and toss thoroughly
- Arrange wedges in single layer on aluminum-foil lined baking sheet
- Bake in oven for 15 minutes then flip each wedge
- Bake again for 15 minutes
- Serve immediately alongside your favorite dipping sauces (recommended: maple bacon aioli..YUM)
