salted caramel brownie bites

I take it as a personal challenge to get E to admit that something is “rich.” His sweet tooth is so extreme that even flourless chocolate cake seems light on the palate. If there is one recipe to shake that dessert foundation, this is it. (As a side note I feel I should clarify: it’s not that I want him to eat unhealthily–I am a good wife, just competitive). Coming up on Valentine’s Day, these decadent bites are the perfect sweet and salty mix to end a romantic night. See full recipe below.
Ingredients
1 box brownies (for a 9×13 pan) + ingredients from back of box
35 Rolos
12 ounces chocolate CandiQuik
sea salt
Instructions
Make the brownies according to the 2 egg directions on the back of the box.
Bake and cool completely.
Cut the brownies into 35 small squares.
Place a Rolo on each square.
Wrap the brownie around the Rolo and form into a ball.
Place on a wax paper covered baking sheet. Refrigerate the bites for about an hour.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave.
Dip the brownie bites in the melted chocolate, place on wax paper, and sprinkle with sea salt.
Makes 35 brownie bites.
