If you asked me the difference between a cape and a poncho, I couldn’t tell you. But semantics aside, this lovely checked version is a frontrunner for my favorite. The billowy layer adds warmth without bulk and pulls together a chic, minimalist look. And our just-above-freezing weekend had me reaching for it time and again. The simple Old Navy style is an undeniable steal, too. No wallet woes over this one.
We were on the way to see my mom in a play on Saturday (in case you’re wondering, she steals the show every time), when we stopped by this roadside florist for a sweet bouquet. The colorful mums and abundance of pumpkins gave such a festive feel to our afternoon. I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos before the frost gets to them. Now we’re starting the week recovering from last night’s late game (Patriots are worth it, every time). I’m thinking coffee and chocolate are what’s going to get us through this day!
