I’ve never understood the connection between bunnies and Easter. I also don’t see where we draw a line from religious holiday to children crashing hard from sugar comas. But, with those two things aside, I absolutely love all the playful traditions. Growing up I can remember egg hunts at my aunt’s house (where I was young enough to still need my mom to point out the most obvious of spots) and being limited to one piece of candy before church. So it’s pretty surreal to look around now and realize that, this time next year, I’ll have a little nugget of my own who’ll experience all these joys. But, until then, I had fun putting together this modern easter basket that’s perfect for friends, sisters, or anyone who appreciates pastel. It’s a simple way to celebrate the holiday, share a little love, and have an excuse to hoard jelly beans. Almost all of my ‘fillings’ were found at the Target dollar bin; so, budget-friendly is the name of the game. Enjoy!
