There seems to be an extra sprinkle of holiday hope in the air this year. I have been pining for the parties, the sweets, the presents, and the gatherings since Halloween! Eric and I will be hosting our first Musser Loft event as a joint holiday & housewarming soiree. For decor on a budget, I resorted to the masterful assortment of Oriental Trading Company. I must take a moment here to laud the masterful invention that is Paperless Post. My recent discovery of this gem is both a penny-saver and a creativity instigator. Their completely non-kitchy designs and elegant presentation shed an entirely new light on holiday post, invitations, and just because cards. I usually hesitate with evites as they appear impersonal and cartoonish–but with the easy tracking feature and plentiful designer options, these are now my go-to stationery for “bulk” mailings. Below is a sneak look at our very first (!) Christmas card. While I still recognize that nothing trumps a handwritten card, the beauty and convenience offered by Paperless Post is certainly a treasure.
