Two things stood out to me this week: motherhood can feel monumentally challenging and family is everything. Colton has been giving us a run for our money with lack of nighttime sleep or naps. Yet, in the midst of exhaustion and tear-streaked faces, every one of my family members lent emotional or physical support. Praise God for technology because, even as a twenty-seven year old with a child of my own, I still needed to talk to my mom while she’s traveling halfway across the world. One sister watched baby boy while I rested and another sent flowers to my doorstep since she couldn’t be close in person. I’m one of five siblings and I know my parentsĀ had many years of people saying, “Wow, you’ve certainly got your hands full.” ButĀ I couldn’t be more grateful for the role that each and every one one of those family members plays in my life. Hug your loved ones tight and have a wonderful weekend. xx
