Despite all of my better instincts and wardrobe resolutions, I still tend to hoard more clothes than I should. I look at a piece that is years old and, instead of throwing it out, imagine all the ways I could re-work it. This habit often results in overstuffed drawers and underused items. But this H&M shift is an exception; a dress that is years old is still one of my favorites. The simple structure, soft texture, and neutral colors make it a versatile option. So my resolution is two-fold: pare down the unused clothing pieces but don’t let go of the good ones just for their age. Basics such as this will never go out of style.
