activewear worth working out for

At my six week postpartum checkup the doctor gave me an ‘all clear’ to start working out again. I’m not going to lie, just a sliver of me wanted her to say, “No, you need to wait another month.” After all, fitting in physical activity above and beyond the standard walk or nursing session seemed monstrous. But focusing on one day, one session at a time has made the task more manageable. And a fresh activewear look to kick off this new season was a must. That’s basically the last shove of motivation I needed to get back to my grind. So Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale seemed like the perfect excuse for head-to-toe workout pieces. I love the pop of feminine pink in these leggings and intricate back detailing on the top. While they have no effect on performance, personally I prefer to hit the gym in something I feel good about.

Since I wasn’t going to break the bank on everything activewear, I restrained myself from too many purchases. But Nordstrom has tons of deals all under $50 for similar items. Scroll to the bottom of this post to shop my favorite finds.

p.s. the PROWLER machine in the first image kicks my butt both literally and figuratively (it’s not just for posing, I promise).
