gold to the {maxi}

The recent Grammy Awards rekindled my desire for some serious sparkle. I purchased this Sherri Hill dress years ago to wear to a university ball. I haven’t donned it since, but found it to be the perfect solution for my Grammy-inspired outfit. Although the gown has long sleeves and a low back, the belted sweater gives the illusion of a maxi skirt. The coziness of cable knit tones down the formality of a full-length gown. For the “loudness” of the sequins, I chose the slim Gucci bag as the perfect balance. I loved stepping out of the “fashion familiar” and making a bold statement for the day.
