Certain styles or trends cause me to pause, take a step back, and decide whether I think they are perfect or passable. In that way, I reserve judgement–positive or negative–until I am sure I enjoy the look and, moreover, if I can pull it off. Coats drenched in leopard are my recent “trend decision.” The pattern was intimidating at first. There is so much going on in one, almost overpowering article of clothing. But the more I observed this style and it’s versatile uses, I have become giddy at the thought of having my own leopard coat and dressing it up or down for plenty of occasions. It is both elegant and fun, classy and flirty. Roberto Cavalli certainly hit the trend on the head with his leopard three-quarter length coat. In comparison, TopShop gives big bang for your buck with a convincing statement piece.
