We had such a sweet three day family weekend. I was sort of at the end of my rope on Friday, so E generously offered to stay home and help me work on Colton’s sleeping routine. I cannot begin to express the admiration I have for single parents. Because this can be a tremendously taxing job when done solo. Our double-duty approach led to successful naps, sleeping through the night, and making strides with solids. Now I feel like a new person (with a new haircut, if you saw my Insta-stories over the weekend). So I’m kicking off Monday in emerald velvet pants and this playful bell-sleeve sweater. The sleek bottoms contrast perfectly to unexpected, ruffled hemlines. And it’s white after Labor Day that effortlessly transitions into fall. Velvet was a huge trend back in my elementary school days so it’s been entertaining to take a more classic approach all these years later.
