My mom spent years as a personal color consultant. She’d drape someone in various shades of the rainbow and decipher what suited their skin tone best. Whatever she told me, I wanted to be the opposite. So for years I tried wearing lost of tans, browns, and generally muted hues. But those minor rebellions have worn off and I’ve gone back to the guidelines of cooler and brighter colors that complement a rosy undertone. These rich blues and turquoise accents enhance my paler complexion.
