It’s highly unlikely you’ll see my face on Insta-stories in the next couple of days because I need to get over the (happy + sad) tears of this weekend. We celebrated Colton’s birthday a couple weeks early with our family and friends. I’m actually really glad we had the party early because I kept telling myself, “he’s not really one, he’s not really one.” But cue the chorus of “Happy Birthday” and I was a goner. I’ll be sharing pictures on the blog in coming weeks. But, until then, you can likely catch us grilling up a storm while enjoying this new outdoor oasis of a back porch.
Last year we worked with Article to bring to life some of the best summer hostess tips. And now we’ve had the sincere pleasure of collaborating once again on another al fresco space. Mostly neglected until now, I’m overjoyed to transform this back deck into a seating space. If I’m being honest, I’m fairly certain these lounge chairs are what dreams are made of. I adore their clean lines mixed with more bohemian flair. We wanted furniture pieces that felt welcoming without being overly bulky. And the addition of a rug ties everything together. My decorating motto tends to be: keep things simple, use neutral basics, then throw in pops of color. With floral planters and patterned tableware we accomplished that mission perfectly. I hope you enjoy this peek into our outdoor oasis.
