We’ve got our first snow forecast of the season this week. And, instead dreading the cold, I’m embracing this nod to the holidays. With Christmas less than three weeks away (how did that happen?), E and I are counting the days to some sweet vacation time together. Over the weekend we had the chance to see Boston Ballet’s The Nutcracker and enjoy make-your-own-pizza night with dear friends. So, essentially, we felt festive and definitely overate. But come Sunday morning I opted for a little drama in my church outfit with this metallic maxi skirt. The fact that it’s pretty eye-catching made me want to balance the striking effect with a muted, cozy sweater and neutral accessories. That way it’s both bold and subtle in the best ways.
