Dresses and skirts over pants is an upcoming trend. Well, really, I should say it is reemerging since I’ve seen this one before. I do love the balance of sweet and tomboyishness. I get the benefit of pairing playful layers and flouncy textures but the comfort of broken-in jeans. The wash of these Joe’s Jeans makes them an easy fit for after-work errands or a weeknight of drinks on the town.The thing to remember when layering with these long pieces is to maintain some structure. Avoid the “brown paper bag” (a.k.a. bland and oversized) effect by bringing in different lengths, adding a belt, or creating a cinching effect (HINT: a binder clip in the back of a flowy blouse gives great shape!). Spring is perfect for some fashion experiments and trend testing.
