Maxis are one of the easiest summer trends to throw on and go. The “one-piece-wonders” make an instant outfit without any extra fuss of pairing a bottom with the right top. I actually used to dislike the idea of a head-to-toe look; I thought it would be easily recognized if I wore it more than once and might get boring. But I’ve come to appreciate the versatile style and comfortable material of this cotton BCBG dress. I can dress it up with a beaded clutch and dramatic earrings or pare it down with Chuck Taylors and a denim jacket. The outfit can be reinvented every time and not run the risk of looking “tired.”
Accenting and balancing them with jewelry or footwear can offer a unique statement that gives maxis a lot of room for your creative license. I’m a big advocate for having one patterned and one solid option in your wardrobe for just about any occasion this summer.
