I can’t put into words just how wonderful it is to create new experiences with Colton. He brings out the spectacular in life’s ordinary moments. This past weekend we took a picnic lunch to our nearby park. They have a barn full of animals and chickens just roaming the grounds. His eyes were glued to the horse until a stray goose honked our attention away. And without a child I can pretty much guarantee this is not how E + I would spend a typical Saturday. So our fun park outing was then followed by Easter Sunday and new traditions continued to form. This precious boy offers so much joy, unique perspectives, and serious humor no matter the occasion. Can you tell I’m sort of brimming with happy thoughts right now? Well, that’s also due in part to the fact that thermometers have been clocking in at over fifty degrees.
When I can leave the house with just a lightweight spring jacket I get all kinds of giddy.
