These days I’m a sucker for any piece of clothing that’s comfortable, versatile, and hits the mark of being on trend. This pair of checked track pants matches that criteria perfectly. They’re loose-fitting with a flattering side stripe and can be dressed up or down. I threw on a cozy fringed sweater and leather mules for a quick family outing. But I also plan on taking a more casual approach with sneakers and a sweatshirt.
One other thought I’m mulling over and will be expanding on more down the road is how I consider clothing costs. These track pants are super inexpensive and a great way to hop on that athleisure trend. But I’m also increasingly aware of the ‘fast fashion’ pitfalls and not wanting to buy into them. So I’m currently at a crossroads in my thinking and trying to sort out what that realistically looks like, i.e. where to spend on quality pieces versus where to save on not-keeping-forever items.
